Matt Lomax grew up in Elizabethtown in southeastern North Carolina. He received his BS in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2011, and a Master of Business Administration in 2019 from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Matt worked in the finance department at BHI Energy in Greenville, SC, overseeing payroll for its valve division and serving as its union liaison before joining WEPPA in 2015. Matt lives in Fuquay-Varina with his wife Tilson and their four animals.
